PIRATE Binders

 PIRATE Binders

PIRATE Binders are a way of creating organization and responsibility in students through a binder with specific sections and folders.  PIRATE stands for:  Prepared,Informed, Ready And Together Everyday.  This is a wonderful tool for your child as it promotes organization and preparedness.
Our student supply list includes the materials needed to assemble the PIRATE Binder. We will assemble the PIRATE Binders during the first week of school.

There are five parts to the PIRATE Binder:
  Folder in Left Front Pocket
The folder in the left front pocket is the Take Home/Bring Back folder. The Take Home side could include homework, completed work, notes from teachers or the office.  The Bring Back side could include notes for the teachers or the office, lunch money or finished homework.

  Zipper Pouch
The zipper pouch is for pencils, highlighters and other supplies  students will need to take to different classes.

   Planner
Next comes the planner.  Students are required to fill their planner in each day.  I ask that you confirm with your child that all work is complete and initial the Planner on a daily basis.  Planners will be checked by the teachers each morning.

  Clear Sheet Protectors
Clear Sheet Protectors are used to preserve important information that will be referred to frequently such as rules, calendars, etc.

Subject Folders (Two Pocket Insertable Plastic Dividers)
After the Sheet Protectors come the folders.  We will label the Folders with each subject. Each folder will hold papers for that subject only!
